Painful. This isn't city violence. It's rural violence; southern MO. You're talking Ozark area...beautiful area, but lots of poverty, drugs and...low living. Its also a good place for violent criminals to hide.

So sad.

Mental illness does not strike Muslims or liberals any more often than members of any other organizations, races, or religions. If you don't believe me you might want to chat with a therapist yourself because your remark suggests some serious paranoia.

It all starts and ends with the shooter. Did he have any grievances with family. Was he an addict or on psych meds. Was he out of work and facing eviction or had debts. The crime was horrific but that's part of the story.

disturbing. he found his elderly mother dead and went berserk, apparently. i'd like to hear from surviving family/friends what type of person he was before the crimes. i am for gun rights, but they make crimes like this so easy. in a second a life can end. i wonder if he had a history of mental illness.

If a family member was bound and determined to kill me, Id actually prefer it to be a bullet to the back of the head, preferably while I am sleeping.

I could forego the pain and mental devastation of a claw hammer, or 45 stab wounds instead.

God bless them all. Rest in peace.

Psychological 'projection'. . . . . .

They are messed up, mentally warped and angry.

In an attempt to inject their own chaotic mental state on the rest of the world, they kill other people, knowing that the pain they inflict when taking into consideration the impact of those deaths have on the people that loved them. Then they kill themselves because they are conscious of the fact that they are cowards unable and unwilling to face the world around them after what they have done.

Not that it would be ok to kill anyone, but when I hear about some loon who wants to kill his boss, then goes to work and shoots poor Mary the receptionist, and a bunch of other people, yet never get the boss before they commit suicide, I just go
Two days ago he would have been considered a good guy with a gun.
