ANYONE who defends Putin, or tries to redirect the conversation with idiocy like "yeah, but look what other countries have done in the past" is nothing more than an enabler of terror.

Putin is the biggest threat to the world today, and needs to be treated as such. Simple as that. Hopefully he is removed by the Russian people, because, if not, he will probably have to be removed by the global community. You have to stop the cancer.

I read the exact same moronic talking point on multiplet websites, almost word for word.

Forgetting for a second that the talking point is unbelievably stupid (Brian Williams has never been accused of misreporting the news; he exaggerated a personal story, and is not in the news business anymore anyways) it's evidence that this is one of the Kremlin talking points to the paid commentators.

The Kremlin has thousands of paid commentators and I bet good money that Boxus is one of them. He is repeating the nonsense exactly as stated on other websites, so unless he has tons of aliases all over the web, he is just reading from the Kremlin script.

I guess the Kremlin point is "there is at least one non-Russian reporter who has lied before, therefore Putin is allowed to assassinate people." Is that the general gist, I take it? Could the Kremlin be anymore stupid?

Actually this ^^^^^^. There is a palpable increase in nationalistic action.

I keep hearin' that, but I've never heard anyone actually defend Putin.

He has over 80% approval rating. There are plenty of people who defend him.

Given your forum join date is in 2014, and mine is in 2010, I would say it would be a much better chance of you being a paid commentator than I am. But your accusation is a desperate attempt to not debate my points on this thread or any other thread, it is much easier for you to just name call and repeat the same blabbering script as on every other site "he is a paid Kremlin troll!".

Also, I frequently criticize Putin, so i must not be much of a "paid Kremlin troll" if I am going around and criticizing not only Putin, but Russia in general.

By the way, any evidence Putin was involved? Or do you just like to assign guilt without proof, and let a person prove innocence?

Too bad for places like Ukraine and Georgia, but at worst Vladimir Putin is just a regional posturer, boosting his own domestic power by policies that are terrible for Russia. Unfortunately, the Russian people refuse to demand better.
Fading? Hardly. Granted, with the latest sanctions, they economy is struggling again, but their eCommerce is booming, capitalism is gaining momentum, and they have the 3rd most billionaires on the planet. Moscow is one of the wealthiest cities in the world. Why people here in the US continue to think Russia is a 3rd world country to boggles my mind.

Demand better? Putin is no saint, but if not Putin, then who? Putin's opposition are socialists who want Socialist like regime. Putin is the lesser of 2 evils right now. With all the terrible leadership Russians have had to endure, they are willing to put up with Putin as they have at least seen vast improvements and things are light years better than the days of Communism or even the days of Yeltsin. They aren't that far removed from the Soviet Union and until all the Seniors die off and the young people get a little older and can hold office, will viable democratic leadership emerge. Until then, they wait.

Typical tea party ignorance. The biggest threat to world peace today, is our wonderful US government. Can't wait to see what country we invade next and the lame excuse our president gives.

Pay no attention to Nola. That guy sits on here all day slinging right wing propaganda. Your usual warmonger who believes everything our corrupt government tells him. He's as bad as the "nuke'm!" group that hangs out in the Political forum.
