So... off duty policemen commit crimes and join your ranks and you chest puff? Is he guilty already?... many sensational cases fall apart quickly ... tawana brawley?
Me... I think.. give 'em a trial and if and when they are found guilty do 'em... in the meantime collect their badge and gun...

I post up investigation statistics from rand corp.. you post up horrible stories about people who are police doing bad things...but the overreaching reality is that these cases while horrible are a very small percent of the overall profession
Your pursuit on any possible story you can find about anything negative with police calls into question the motivations of your ilk
Do you think anything you're going to say here will change anything ... the answer is no.. what is does possibly does is enrage some crazy to perhaps take action against someone like me... the NYPD officers murdered a case in point... worked up into a fervor by internet postings ...
If you really wanted change you would go to work for an organization that has the power to affect real change ...instead of spewing an obvious agenda...

What you want is for there to be no stories about your brethren. When we do get wind of any, you want them to be glossy, admirable and all the cushy stuff. Well, I personally would never do that if they don't deserve it. THEY ARE HUMAN FIRST.

I think police officers should be held to a higher standard.
If it was a consensual relationship - and a 16 year old teenaged girl is not a child, so I wouldn't call the cop a "pedophile" - I'm wondering if "rape" is maybe a bit too harsh to describe this crime. It was a crime, however in my opinion. Unlawful sexual relations with a minor. 38 year old cop with a 16 year old girl ... not right in my book.

It also said they were involved for a year, so was she 15 when they started their "relationship"? Running a program for kids bothers me more than him being a cop. That spells predator in my book.
I'm surprised he was charged with rape. Police officers and prosecutors are supposed to help each other out when they commit illegal acts. If someone calls 911 and says a police officer raped their child you hang up on them.
