The best part of this was when she said "I'm on the news".

No, you are not on "the news". You are a sideline eye-candy bimbo asking grown men, many of which have below average IQs, about their feelings on the children's game they are playing

Just another pretty girl thinking she's better than everyone else. Enjoy your next job climbing the pole.

She might have been angry at the car getting towed but her bahavior was just rude and despicable. Just because you have a college degree and have been lucky to be blessed with a good job, it didn't give her the right to humiliate someone less fortunate than her.

Poor taste and a horrible human being.

Much is made of these suspensions for behavior that's not work-related, but I don't blame employers who, most likely, would never have hired them, had their hissy fits been on display beforehand.

This woman is typical of the entitled "I'm on the air, so I'm special" class, and it's only a matter of time before mere mortal working stiffs are ordered to look at the ground when approaching her.

All jobs have value, and all people who earn a living, regardless of pay or "status" should be proud of performing those jobs well.

First, the lady at the desk has nothing to do with what vehicles are towed. Second, it's natural to get angry about your car being towed, but her rant was beyond the normal anger for a towed vehicle. She made her rant personally insulting to the lady behind the desk, insulted her physical appearance, insulted her education, insulted her income, and did so while hyping her own personal appearance, education, career, and threatening to use her TV career to get the lady fired. That's where the suspension and possible firing comes in. Just being an insulting jerk is one thing, threatening to use your TV career to get her fired is another matter. If she hadn't said anything about her career, the lady at the tow company would never have known who she is or where she works. I've met plenty of people like her. College graduates, usually part of the Greek houses, who use their diploma as a weapon to belittle others. Not every college graduate behaves in such a way, but those that do are pretty vocal and in your face, especially if they don't get their way. She, and others like her, need to be taken down a few fathoms to be given a dose of humility.

Many of the same guys who come to help you when you are broken down also do towaways as well because that is part of the job.
Repo guys are typically a different breed, but some regular towing guys do it as well. Doing the job professionally and legally does not make them the "scourge of the earth", nor are they stealing anything. Instead they are serving a function that needs to be done in society.

The point is not that she was upset about getting her car towed, instead it was her personally attacking and demeaning the woman who was just doing the job of collecting fees for the service. Not that it would have been ok to say the same thing to the actual person who towed her car, but that would be more understandable.
Also the arrogance she displayed shows she has an underlying narcissistic side which is not that attractive.
As they say, beauty is only skin deep.

She's not a normal employee. She's in the public eye and represents the network on national television, therefore her personal behavior has an effect on the business that a normal person would never have. So Espn have every right to can her ass for that.

Absolutely agree all jobs have value. It's disgusting the way people look down on hardworking people that do a necessary job. I'd like to see all service workers quit for one week and just see the panic that would set in when there was no one to serve you food, no where to buy groceries, buy gas ect. ect.

Here's the other interesting thing about this case: If this woman had been a nobody & insulted the towing company clerk in the same way, and even if it had still been filmed, I doubt we would have heard about this. It only went viral because she was an reporter.
