It seriously took me a few mins of thinking and reading this thread before one posters comment made me finally realize the link between Mexican food and the movie.
Wait a minute, wouldn't serving Mexican food make the event more inviting to students of Hispanic heritage? It's not like they were serving Haggis and Sheperd's Pie, with "Uninvited Aliens" as the theme.
I thought for a second they might be serving genuine "Aliens". Or feeding them.
