A childless couple's first stop after dinner in a kid-filled restaurant will be the "family-planning" aisle of the nearest pharmacy.

nothing is worse than having a screaming kid while trying to eat dinner out. Its one thing if it is a family place like Olice Garden or TGIF or something to the like, but when it is a little more upscale, shame on the parents for bringing a baby. It is annoying and a baby doesnt know, it is the dumb parents that have no brains.

I think certain restaurants should not allow kids under 8 at a certain time.......

Very simple: the management tells the parents they will have to leave. If they have already been served, the manager brings them take-out containers. If they have ordered, but not been served, they can have the option to wait while their order is prepared to go, but the brat (even if the brat is an adult) has to go out to the car to wait.
Mmmmmm...... okaaaaayyy....

But it was still worded wrong.

By the time the manager or server brings take-out containers to the table, allowing time to fill them before leaving, much "screaming" and damage has already been done.

They would have been much better off just disallowing children into their establishment, Period, and cut the crap of "screaming children," which imparted hostility and created their public repercussion. I do not believe their apologizes, though. Unless the management are truly stupid people, they knew exactly what their sign would ensue - the apologies were simply to cover up so that they wouldn't look like complete a--holes.

If you're going to make a decision like this - and I back up their right to opt for no children, which is what they should have done - then have the balls to be honest about it - not this bs about "they can but they can't" .
