Awesome! I love to se this. This girl lived in hotels after the storm, but she kept her focus on her goals. Way to go!

After a tumultuous high school experience, Long Island senior Daria Rose has
a bright future ahead of her: The 18-year-old applied to seven Ivy League
colleges and has been accepted to each one of them.
I guess she decided not to settle for Raft College.

She is a lovely young lady and it is heartening to see that she did not let adversity deter her from her goals. It was odd that the article left out any mention of her academic achievements, GPA, etc. as is usually included in stories such as this.

I hope she takes her time, does the appropriate research, and makes the best decision for herself.

Now, HER parents have something to be proud of.

No Daria fans here? This girl was probably named after her.

Good for her.

If you read between the lines she comes from a family with both parents whom work etc. had a house and after displacement got another house after sorting through the disruption.

So, she was already well on this path and as a gifted kid pushed through and obviously did well academically.

Often, some adversity is what separates some kids from others in terms of getting them over the hump in the admissions process....something that will (IMO) help my own kid get into one of the Ivy's next year....we'll see.

Doubtful considering she would have been born around the first season of the show but anything is possible.

Smart kid, probably has some nerd in her parents....ok...you may have a point.
