And I can see why people are worked up. VERY disrespectful! Whether it was on purpose or not, whether he apologized or not ... you can't kill a man then go chill in the Bahamas to sip pina coladas and expect people to think that's okey dokey.
On the other hand, it may have been a racial sensitivity retreat. What's the ethnicity of the native population of the Bahamas?

Innocent until proven guilty. That's a cornerstone of our justice system ..... otherwise we all risk being lynched by vigilantes stirred up by some buffoon, sociopath, political opponents, or personal enemy. It's not a luxury to be told of the charges against you and have a chance to defend yourself.
Though in this case he might be a flight risk because any bail would be trivial to him and he was already prepared to do so ...... I don't think he should have been allowed to travel internationally.
That's a stretch. You can't possibly believe that's the case.
Maybe not in that terminology but it does seem interesting at least that a man involved in a racial killing would go someplace where, according to wiki, 83% of the population is https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Afro-Bahamian
.

The trip was planned before the shooting happened. It's not "racial sensitivity" motivated.

And more than likely he'll stay at a resort where the only locals he runs into are the ones working there. Knowing what lies ahead, I'm sure he'll just stay on the beach with his family, worried about being recognized or thinking of the not-so-great future.
Innocent until proven guilty. Got permission from the court. No phony outrage here.
So was the dead guy.
I believe civil rights extend to all citizens, no matter the color of their skin.
From what I've seen and read, there was actually no reason for the dead person to be tased. He was already down on the ground, face down, with at least four REAL police officers on top of him.
This old, bald, fat white guy just wanted a chance to tase someone; he was EXCITED! Oooo, look at me! I took down an armed perp! I'm SO special!
I hope he does jail time, as he should. Maybe he can hang up pictures of his Bahama vacation in his cell and weep for himself.
No specifically. What rules specifically? Is he not being charged? Did he get bail where others don't?
What specificially?
(Oh and a trip to the Bahama's isn't a different set of rules, it's just that....a trip to the bahama's which isn't part of any "rules" whether we agree with it being tasteless or not.)
