Shrug, I can see the reasoning behind it. He already had the vacation scheduled, and after this incident, was probably being hounded by the media locally and wanted to escape it.

He looks remorseful and he's apologized to the man's family, it was a horrible mistake, but it was still a mistake. He didn't shoot on purpose. I doubt he "enjoyed" his vacation at all.

And I can see why people are worked up. VERY disrespectful! Whether it was on purpose or not, whether he apologized or not ... you can't kill a man then go chill in the Bahamas to sip pina coladas and expect people to think that's okey dokey.

After the stress of a trial what in the world is wrong with taking a vacation? Is he supposed to shut himself up in his bedroom at home? He was found not guilty. I don't think he was happy it happened. Should he wear sack cloth and ashes for a few weeks or years?

He hasn't stood trial ... the shooting happened less than three weeks ago. The man he shot hasn't even been buried yet.

He pleaded not guilty, but he hasn't been found not guilty.

Yeah, I don't see the issue with him taking a vacation.

If he's truly remorseful for what happen, I'm not sure how much of a vacation it really was.

Unless I'm missing something, then if so, I apologize.

He made a half ass apology. I'm really sorry I murdered your son. Now excuse me please, my flight to the Bahamas is leaving.

I ignored this story at first due to 'murica fatigue, but this entire episode pretty much sums up everything that is wrong with contemporary America in one story. Senile old millionare geezer allowed to play cop, kill someone, and then skip town to the Bahamas, only after a bizarre non-apology press conference, where he's getting a back rub by six women at the same time.

Why not? With everyone on a witch hunt for him I wouldn't want to be in the U.S. If I was him.

almost no one is allowed to leave US soil while on bail for any offense, much less with a charge of manslaughter...but somehow it doesn't surprise me, and I don't care either- just makes the guy look like more of a fool and all I hope for is that he will be found guilty of something so that he can never legally own a gun again.
