He must be getting a kickback on all of the health food he recommends. Went to Whole Foods And a worker was saying whenever Dr. OZ makes a recommendation on a product it sells out in a few days. A coincidence? Don't think so....
If I were a patient of his, I'm sure I would trust his skills and knowledge as a physician. When he goes into 'product promoter' mode, I tend to tune him out.
Although a lot of the time, he's not actually promoting something ... his name is just being attributed to it. If he says that [insert natural supplement] is beneficial for you, suddenly every company that has their own version of that natural supplement will tout their product "AS SEEN ON THE DR. OZ SHOW!"
Frankly I appreciate when physicians recommend natural options in addition to pharmaceuticals. So I'm not automatically skeptical when he recommends raspberry ketones, for example. The problem comes when these companies try to capitalize on his recommendations and start selling sub-par products which of course won't work.
If you took all the supplements and ate everything that he says to eat you would probably turn into some sort of alien life form. There is no way to ingest all that he says and remain a human.
