I wondered if people have happened to notice an increase or presence insociety of what I would call ‘drifters’; that is, strangely dressed men with nogrooming habits wandering the streets? Not necessarily homeless, butpossibly? I am not certain what to call this subculture. I havejust noticed it a lot in Denver, Boulder, Glenwood Springs, Santa Cruz when Iwas there, and on my recent drive across country, in every state I went throughexcept Minnesota. Black garb is popular with them. I am talkingabout younger men, not old homeless guys, although I also saw a lot of men withwhite hair driving vehicles of questionable mechanical condition, with beardsand pony tails/alternative hairstyles
