Children and adults who are not vaccinated put everyone -- not just other children -- at risk.

I was not aware that there was a specific "right to a public education" in the Constitution. But I am aware that the Constitution says that the government should promote “the general welfare”. The Constitution says NOTHING about education. The point being, don't just pick and choose which "constitutional rights" you have.

GAITHERSBURG, Md., April 12 — A panel of federal drug advisers voted 20 to 1 Thursday to reject an application by Merck to sell its pain pill Arcoxia because of concerns that the drug could cause as many as 30,000 heart attacks annually if widely used.

Why would I trust a mandate using Merck vaccines? When they are only interested in profit. It's a conflict of interest to mandate their products, they are nothing more than a corporation. How can my consumerism be mandated? Merck doesn't have the cleanest safety record.

For our entire past we've all followed medical and scientific advice with the blessings of our doctors, and grave misinformation and mistakes have happened. That's reality. That's why mandated drugs are a big no no. Not to mention in America they are a product of capitalism. We are consumers of health products. We aren't socialists. You can't mandate our consumerism. It makes an unfair market.

Just be thankful you didn't have a heart attack or stroke.

Not the same at all.

The separate but equal doctrine of education was forced on people based solely on race. There was no choice on it.
The vaccination program is for everyone, and if they choose not to get vaccinated they can go to another school setting.

Promote it, is one thing, but vaccines a must have law, is wrong....

in this day and age, what kind of risk are you talking about?

When people started questioning (which was a good thing) that so called epidemic that was in Florida....all of a sudden you didn't hear anything else about it.....????

I'm sorry but your wrong in this...you cannot tell people how to live their lives and to think and believe as you do....just as I can't impose my beliefs on you, but what we can do, is each of us, do what we think is best....

My gosh, you have people taking sick babies out, coughing, sneezing, running fevers, but they take them to the sitters anyway....? How is that right...it's the same thing....
One of their parents could have an immune system definciency...That bothers me more then fear of not having vaccines. There are enough kids vaccinated to day, that will help avoid those illnesses....

DO ALL KIDS HAVE THE RIGHT TO AN EQUAL EDUCATION?

Yes! All kids living in the United States have the right to a free public education. And the Constitution requires that all kids be given equal educational opportunity no matter what their race, ethnic background, religion, or sex, or whether they are rich or poor, citizen or non-citizen. Even if you are in this country illegally, you have the right to go to public school. The ACLU is fighting hard to make sure this right isn't taken away.

In addition to this constitutional guarantee of an equal education, many federal, state and local laws also protect students against discrimination in education based on sexual orientation or disability, including pregnancy and HIV status.

In fact, even though some kids may complain about having to go to school, the right to an equal educational opportunity is one of the most valuable rights you have. The Supreme Court said this in the landmark Brown v. Board of Education case when it struck down race segregation in the public schools.

If you believe you or someone you know is being discriminated against in school, speak up! Talk to a teacher, the principal, the head of a community organization or a lawyer so they can investigate the situation and help you take legal action if necessary.

If they have a moral belief or a religious belief against vaccination or one of the mandated vaccines now they are deprived from a free public education. That is discriminatory. If any child can attend school without a vaccine including those with HIV then all children should be allowed that right. They pose no greater threat than those other children.

There will be legal action in California.

Promote means to encourage, not demand or mandate a law....

besides, if your kid is vaccinated, there is no danger....if you can call chicken pox or measles danger? They are not life threatening diseases...now if we were talking about ebola, then that is a whole different ball game.

What can you do? Not much
Seriously? You're comparing vaccinations being required to the Holocaust.

Do you have any idea how disgustingly offensive that is?

The Holocaust was mass genocide, it was the brutal torture and death of over 6 million innocent souls.

Comparing vaccinations to the Holocaust makes you sound nuttier than Jenny McCarthy.
