Sort of. Paid administrative leave from what I've understood. I don't think there is any way that they WON'T be filing charges against at least some of the officers involved.

Do you lack the ability to critically think? Or do you like being obtuse? Both are in the news and both demonstrate the petty nature of these kinds of "riots" in the USA.

i.e. Entitle youth in $250 Air Jordans tearing up a city based on media speculation about the death of yet another criminal arrested by police. VS a city completely destroyed by earthquake which kills close to 4000 (so far) The contrast couldn't be more stark.

Kids or not, end it! Call in the National Guard and Military to protect our cops and sweep the streets clean. It isn't a simple "protest" when the mobs go violent and start hurting people. Unfortunately the only way to end the violence is to use violence back. The People are stronger than the punks who think hurting our police officers is merely their right to self-expression. Lock and load.

I have always wondered why so many police cars are just left parked in places to be destroyed

Well, now they've moved on to a Rite Aid Pharmacy! Gotta give 'em points for persistence. What troubles me is the Police spokesman saying (about the looting) "our job is to protect people first then property when we can do it safely".

WHAT?????
Isn't their JOB to deal with both?
No wonder why people are going animal and taking all they can. Run an armored vehicle up to those business's and you'd see crooks scatter.
Nope, not gonna happen...

Goes back to if you want protection DEPEND ON YOURSELF, help ain't coming anytime soon.

PS: Now they're looting their own bank....err check cashing store without opposition I might add...

It isn't their money that pays for 'em.
