We have stereo types for a reason. They don't just come from nowhere...
Here's a stereotype for you: The white SERIAL KILLER. Yeah, we do have them for a reason don't we? What is more "animalistic" to you? Black people destroying cars, setting fires to building? Or white people, eating people, injected chemicals into their brains, cutting off heads and storing them in the refrigerator alongside food, sodomizing teens?
Declare a curfew. Threaten to shoot all who ignore it. The streets will clear.
Oh, but no. We can't shoot the kids, can we? We might prompt the gangs to retaliate against us. So let's just stand by, quivering in fear, and let the punks burn another city to the ground.
This is the idiotic view of some - just do nothing and hope the rioters go home.

If he were taken into custody without having his spine shattered and given due process I'm sure (maybe a hypothetical) that none of this would've taken place.
There is no defense for what is happening. If you are black and defending these people rioting, then you are racist as well. It is time for communities to start pushing back against the few who are giving a bad name to the many. If the leaders inside the community stopped condoning the actions of these few violent members, then they could kill it before it starts.
