Groups of people have started to riot as of about 20 minutes ago, looks to be mostly youths of high school age throwing bricks, rocks, bottles etc at police.
Several High Schools have reported Black students walked out and seems they went to the location where the rioting broke out.

News reporters have been injured, cops injured one left unresponsive.
Naturally looting has started, CVS pharmacy currently under siege.

Sad day for Baltimore!

I've been watching coverage of this for the last hour or so. It seems like it's primarily kids/teenagers that have been causing the damage. I've watched them destroy 2 police cars so far.

This is insane. Do these people really think that looting and destroying their community is going to bring about any sort of positive change? It's only going to lead to more young people losing their lives.

Contrast these overly entitled "teens" and their behavior to the plight of those in Nepal.

No, they think that looting is going to get them free stuff. The political angle is just an excuse.

Valid point. I don't think any of this has anything to do with Freddie Gray. It's simply an excuse for them to act like a bunch of thugs.

When politicians... the mayor in this case... makes irresponsible statements " we need to give them space to destroy " ... what can we possibly expect... what a complete lack of direction

Aggressively target agitators ... deploy the national guard in fixed posts so BPD can start arresting rioters

Get on it BPD.... another l.a.... another Ferguson... its in the hands of the politicians

Bpd also needs to completely vet the investigation of the man who died in price custody ...and get those results out asap... if there is culpability assign it

I think once the gas bombs, rocks, boulders, pipes etc start coming out then they should be answered by bullets both rubber and lead.

Protest all you want, scream, chant, march sit in etc. but the minute you resort to violence and do things that threaten others lives or property (looting/burning) YOU have put yourself at risk for losing your own.
