Did you read my response? I think every adult should have one. Do you at 25 want to spend the next 40 years on a ventilator in a nursing home while your family goes broke after your car accident?

Again, no one is asking anyone to decline life-saving measures, they are simply asking that they sign a form stating what their preferences are, regardless of what they are. So everyone has something on file in a database that can be easily found if they're in a position where they can't speak for themselves. What is it people are objecting to, really?

If resuscitation will make your life BETTER, then sure! If it will simply keep you from dying...and you'll be attached to machines and have no freedom of movement, or any sort of life....then no...what is the point? I don't want to be alive for the sake of being alive. I want to LIVE. I don't want someone to have to bathe me, feed me, and wipe my ass.
