If this is true, he should have been home in bed recuperating - not out getting into MORE trouble and evading arrest, knowing what his physical condition was.
I saw this report yesterday and no follow-up today. Don't know what to make of it. If this is true, it cast an entirely new light on the whole situation and could potentially take some of the heat off the cops involved in his arrest. Not enough is known about this yet.

yes that structured settlement was for improper removal of lead paint, no neck surgery.

I believe Gray had more than one current settlement case. The Baltimore Sun is reporting about the settlement of lead paint, but also that Gray himself noted in his court documents "work injury, medical malpractice and auto accident" as the type of accident.

An interesting take on Freddie Gray, Gray's bondsman Quintin Reid.
The bail bondsman who paid Freddie Gray’s way out of jail twice this year said the 25-year-old Baltimore man ran from police because he had learned a simple lesson.

“The last time he stood there he caught a charge,” Quintin Reid said from his office on West North Avenue overlooking protesters and cops on Tuesday afternoon.

As Baltimore’s destructive #BlackLivesMatter riots continue to rage, some new information has been revealed about the gentleman they’re burning Baltimore down for.

According to the Maryland Department of Justice, Freddie Gray had the 18 documented arrests below, at a minimum:
FREDDY GRAY
And you still think that man with at least 18 arrests and serious traumas who were running from police instead of sitting at home was not guilty?
Does the law specify that after a certain number of arrests or convictions, the police can just kill you on sight?

Ever notice how none of the "victims" at the hands of police are ever medical students, part of the church choir, members of the Peace Corp, or killed leaving a library? All this rioting and looting in cities across the nation for throwaway kids no one cared for to begin with. Where were all the activists and rioters when it comes to helping their own? Hypocrites want to riot and loot for someone they never cared about to begin with.
