Do you have evidence? Last I saw, the numbers were something like 1.9 per white woman and 2.5 per black woman I think, but I'm willing to be corrected if they are actually the same.
Logic would hold that white households, which presumably have far higher incomes and net worth, could afford more children than black households. But in reality, they have fewer. Because welfare.
in your world is there a big difference between 1.9 and 2.5 (my source says 1.8 and 2.1)? certainly it's nowhere near welfare queen mythology. if welfare is the reason black women have a slightly higher birthrate than white women, why aren't most black mothers on welfare? these are all facts: there are more white people on welfare than blacks. the white population is the oldest racial population in the US. Married black women have less children than unwed black mothers (or have children at an older age). All these facts can be twisted, used, or ignored to fit any agenda. The mom of the year stuff was something the media came up with. The incident was about a mother doing the right thing. I'd rather have her for a mom than that affluenza kid's mother. At least she really loves him, that's something money can't buy.
I see no one really heard this mother when she spoke.
As the OP suggests, she is not on welfare, she was an assistant manager who has just been laid off, yes she has 6 children, so what?

Shhh, you're killing the narrative. Some obviously only want to push the negative about anyone who's station in life isn't up to their standards.
Personally I don't CARE how many kids she has, she obviously is trying to be a good parent and getting her kid out of there (unlike many others) before he did something that either changed his life forever or ended it.
Good for her, wish more parents had the concern to do what she did!
But the Current Event is the riot, and what are the riots?
Tens of thousands of kids borne to the welfare state, who need something to do with their time in an area where the economy can't support jobs because the parents never had jobs or money there to begin with.

Having 6 kids in a blighted area with no jobs or prospects just ensures the area will never have jobs and always have crime.
