Lol, guess you both have a better chance of winning the lottery or the Powerball than you do of coming up for the throne

I can't do much else but I'm not going to waste time following the wall to wall garbage about the new princess.

There are more important things going on in the world. Just sayin'.
Good for you. But there hasn't been that much coverage here of the birth of the new princess, just a mention from time to time. The wall to wall coverage on the news here seems to be about the Baltimore riots.

its quite fascinating to see people do this.
And even more so to watch the posters who make comments on the comments.

But back on the topic, I'm happy for the royal family and wish them the best.

How much money did you send to help Nepal? When are you leaving to go there?

Me too! I wish the pool of names were wider though and wouldn't mind if overused names like Anne, Elizabeth, Edward, Henry and George (especially George ) were retired for good. Bring back Matilda, Joanna, Isabella, Richard and John for a change, to heck with superstition I say.

Wow. Out of the hospital and looking great within a few hours after giving birth. Princess Kate appears to be one of those women who can go work in the fields in the morning, give birth on her lunch break, lay the baby under a tree, finish her day's work, pick up the baby where she left it and go back home in the evening.

Congratulations to the happy parents and the entire royal family. A new baby is always (almost, anyway) a happy occasion for any family.

Yeah, unfortunately, it seems that way. I've been trying to avoid those too.

Alice, Helena, and Louise are lovely names (they were the daughters of Queen Victoria). As far as John...there hasn't been a Prince John in the royal family, that I know of, since the tragic younger brother of George VI (youngest son of George V and Queen Mary). He died at 13, suffered from epilepsy and mental retardation.

Unfortunately, even Diana as a middle name would open the door to the media for comparisons with her grandmother or even using it in place of given name (or coming up with a nickname).
