That prolly exactly what went down. And don't forget that neck surgery he had just had OR, you know, the time when he was intentionally banging himself against the walls in the van.

I smell fear and regret.

Its also interesting to claim the Defense Lawyer is citing the use of Maryland Law, in determining the legal qualifications of this knife, and not Baltimore Code or Law, as the Apologists keep deflecting to. Just shows how much crap and misdirection is being spewed out there.
On your first point you make a generalization that is irrelevant to what was said. Of course motions are filed.

Your second point is gibberish. I've no idea who you are talking about.

Baltimore Police Chief Says ‘We Are Part of the Problem’
May 6, 2015

'We haven't been part of the solution, and now we have to evolve."

Baltimore Police Commissioner Anthony Batts said in a new interview Tuesday that police need to acknowledge “we are part of the problem” in the wake of charges brought against cops in the high-profile death of Freddie Gray.

“The community needs to hear that,” Batts told CNN. “The community needs to hear from us that we haven’t been part of the solution, and now we have to evolve. Now we have to change.”

Of course they do. You do. He was on drugs, he had a spine operation, he committed suicide, he ate the dope, he had a big switchblade, he banged himself to death in the van. Did I miss anything?

Wait for the trial....Have faith in your Justice System, and the people who will decide. All will be clear.

Reading would help you understand, Maybe. Apologists are claiming the Knife charges where filed by Maryland Standards, and the Baltimore code is stricter and makes the knife illegal. Go back and read it. In the article of the "Motion" the Defense Lawyer is claiming its Illegal by Maryland Standards. Read the Motion. Now which is it?

All this imagined defense you folks are dreaming up is the "Gibberish" along with the "Anonymous" sources garbage. I can't wait for the next big "Find" you run across.
