OK, Lets add this one to the list. He could have died from being too skinny and frail for his neck to hold his head upright, and it fell over severing his spine. Good One...
Hey, when you live in the ghetto, do drugs, drink, smoke pot, and have a diet cosisting of Micky D's and Bojangles you tend to not be in the best of health. And that 28 day detox was in 2012, my guess is he fell off the wagon shortly thereafter.

With 6 arrested, and a wide range of max sentences, and none likely to ever be a cop again, it would not surprise me to see 1 or 2 turn on others to cut a better deal for themselves.

Don't be too harsh on this one. He seems to be a pretty good straight thinking Officer, if he is one. He just leans a little toward his compatriots, as is normal. At least he doesn't just make up a bunch of stuff.

If you read his posts in other threads, they aren't radical, and he does make a lot of sense, until he leans too far on occasion.

You have to consider what kind of people they work with day in and day out, and they get some what indifferent towards people, and assume they all are the same and have done something wrong, but just have not been caught yet. Its conditioning. In their minds they are the "Good Guys" , and obeying Laws is for Criminals. They only become bad Cops when they take that self empowerment past the point of "Innocent till proven Guilty," and turn it into "Guilty until proven innocent." They rewrite the Laws in their minds to suit their perceived needs. We see it all the time. I can list dozens of actual cases, where good cops went bad by making up facts that don't exist to suit their goals in cases. This case is just another example.

That's the whole deal in a nutshell. Its also sad, that not all Police even know what the Laws are, that they try to enforce.

This has already happened. Remember the person who was a friend or relative of one of the officers who appeared in silhouette on major news and said, in effect, not all the officers should go down for the actions of just a few? That was well before the charges were announced.

No room for "Guessing" when a life is at stake. Actually, he seemed to be in good enough condition to have lived this long, and was able enough to be out in public, not breaking any Laws. It does not matter what specific thing killed him. It matters that he should not have been tackled in the first place, nor arrested. He should have been offered Medical attention, even if he had been guilty of some thing. The opportunity to do that was presented many times, but the Police where "Indifferent" to life, and let him die of his injuries. That's all fact, and not made up. Each and every one of them could have made that call for a Medic at any time. They chose not to. They Chose.

You're joking right? Or, you decided to pick and choose? There were many instances where he was charged with the intent to distribute. The majority of the 'controlled dangerous substance' listings never elaborated on 'what' type of substance it was, only two listings report marijuana. One listing showed "intent to manufacture"--just guessing, but the substance that he was intending to manufacture was probably not pot (meth, or something similar, maybe?)

March 20, 2015: Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance

March 13, 2015: Malicious destruction of property, second-degree assault

August 31, 2014: Illegal gambling, trespassing

January 25, 2014: Possession of marijuana

September 28, 2013: Distribution of narcotics, unlawful possession of a controlled dangerous substance, second-degree assault, second-degree escape

April 13, 2012: Possession of a controlled dangerous substance with intent to distribute, unlawful possession of a controlled dangerous substance, violation of probation

July 16, 2008: Possession of a controlled dangerous substance, possession with intent to distribute

March 28, 2008: Unlawful possession of a controlled dangerous substance

You have NO WAY of knowing that. And no one has any business "guessing" for justifications as to why a life was lost.

All involved are guilty and should suffer the consequences. Not every one of them may have had a hand on him, not been with him through the whole ordeal, but neither one of them did anything to stop it either. Neither one of them called a Medic when he asked for one, or was out of it and it was obvious he needed something.

As a Prosecutor would say, you don't have to be the guy holding the gun or shooting the Teller in a Bank Robbery, to be just as guilty as the guy who did, and that includes the getaway driver if he stays in the car. That's the Law. You may not have done everything yourself, but you did not do anything to stop it either. The charges where appropriate. The actions caused a Death.

Folks may want to consider that this could get even worse for those Police. The Feds can also file Civil Rights charges separately, under Federal Law, independent of any Maryland Law. Maryland can file Criminal, and the Federal Justice Department, (FBI) files and prosecutes Civil Rights Criminal Charges. States can not. They could all end up in Court three times, for the same actions a new charges. State Court, Federal Court, and Civil Court.

Federal Civil Rights violations that deprive a citizen of Freedom or life can bring a Life sentence. The Government has 5 years to charge them. My guess would be that if something goes wrong and it looks like these people are not severely enough punished, to appease the Public, the Feds may step in and decimate them. They may do it anyway, since we know they where investigating also, and no one has said they stopped. Anyone that thinks this is out of the question is a fool.

And we all know they will all be in Civil Court also, for wrongful Death, and that's a slam dunk with noting more needed than what we already know.

These people are still way back in the dark woods The worse may still come....

Guess what? None of that matters. He isn't on trial. He is dead. None of that will be allowed in Court anyway, since it has no relationship to this case or the charges. The Defense will not be able to even bring it up. Have sat through enough of these in Maryland.
