Let me be the first to mention this, the white guy in the picture I saw (perp) is a thug, and the black guy with the CCW permit is a hero! I would be delighted to have the black guy as a friend and nieghbor. The white guy, not so much...

Deliberately provocative and misleading I would think. There's no reason the OP couldn't have just titled the thread, 'Man holds suspected carjacker at gunpoint until police arrive.'
Obsessed with race much? There are white, black, Asian, and Hispanic criminals....and people who are upstanding citizens of all backgrounds too. I'm assuming all of the rocket scientists in this thread already know this.

I guess it was meant to emphasize a change of pace since the MSM constantly sensationalizes the "unarmed" or the "thug" (who is...well...ya know).
It's a shame that more stories like these aren't shown in national news. But then "gun control", "banning bullets", and "outlawing semi-autos" couldn't be effectively propagated or implemented.
So if the carjacker had got up from the ground and walked away, what could the man with the gun have done with his gun? He was not under threat and would have no concern for his personal safety if the perpetrator was simply walking away.
