This is why stopped watching cable news years ago. Its just an outrage machine. The entire intro was worded to illicit an emotional response. He even told one of the talking heads he should be against it. That was a cue for the audience to not listen to what he was saying but to become outraged as he spoke. Cable news is anti intelligent, considerate, honest discussion.

Bring in someone who agrees
Bring in someone who doesn't
Get the audience mad

Don't tell a teenager that, it's worse than stealing their birthday.

In all fairness to the State of Arizona they are in one heck of a budget mess that they have to do something to cut expenses. They cut everything they can and still can't stem the red ink. For all the marketing Arizona does about being a state for economic growth and low taxes, it's on the verge of bankruptcy. They had already illegally raided various funds set aside specifically for other programs and use that to plug the flow of money out of their coffers, and with that money gone, it has to be major programs being cut or curtailed. And considering that the courts are on the verge of seizing state assets to pay back the illegal use of dedicated funds, they need new leadership on a wholesale level; the current crop of legislatures are fiscal idiots.

I don't see how this is possible. What about people with mental issues who can't understand/comprehend how to do anything? How are they supposed to have a job/volunteer. I'm all for people earning it, and even the drug testing before they get it, but I can't agree with all of it. I don't ever regret helping Americans in need, and I do whenever I can. I also think our elders should be able to get food stamps. It's ridiculous that some of them have to choose between eating or getting their meds. Especially when the government is wanting to give themselves a pay raise already. They could take a cut for the very poor and elderly, I would think. How much of a raise does someone need to vote yea or nay, and doesn't even have to be there most of the time?

So, what will happen to the people who truly are unable physically/mentally work?

It's always the usual suspects who watch the coordinated with the White House old media networks and think they're informed after their obligatory coverage of pop culture "news," edited tapes to promote their left-wing slant, and exposés in which they blow up vehicles to push their agenda. Then there's Stephanopoulos and his ilk.

Intelligent? Considerate? Honest?

Balderdash.
