Use of the word "thug" has reached...thug-like levels!!

Man alive!!!!! He's a thug, she's a thug, you're a thug, I'm a thug, everybody is a thug!

People seem to need to use that word to label people to the point that they act like thugs themselves just trying to demonize everyone.

Is a person who over-uses and misappropriately uses the word thug a thug themselves? I say yes, and there are many all around us.

Just because you have a college degree and post online does not mean you are not a thug. Some are thugs with their fists, others with the pads of their fingertips.

Ehh, I guess it's a current event. I agree, there's too many posters on this site who misuse the word. All you can do is laugh.

Thug is conveniently used here by some to deliberately provoke and incite, without having to use racially derogatory terms.

It's a sly and backhanded way of venting and getting your licks into a particular racial group, without getting outright trouble with the mods.

So transparent even an infant could see what's going on.

I'm pretty sure that if you referred to the common criminal as a "Gentleman of the Highway", that most contemporary Americans would be clueless. But Thug certain works.

I see thug used appropriately on CD a lot, and I see it misused from time to time.

Just because a few people misuse it here and there, that is not going to stop me from properly using it.

For example, the people who were looting and setting fires in Baltimore were thugs.

The bikers in Texas that got into that brawl were thugs.
