Miami-Dade schools remove principal after his post about police controversy | Miami Herald Miami Herald
In a brief statement, the district said employees are required to conduct themselves, both personally and professionally, in a manner that represents the school district’s core values. The district said a replacement would be named shortly and that Iber would be reassigned to administrative duties.

“Judgment is the currency of honesty,” said Superintendent of Schools Alberto Carvalho. “Insensitivity — intentional or perceived — is both unacceptable and inconsistent with our policies, but more importantly with our expectation of common sense behavior that elevates the dignity and humanity of all, beginning with children.”

However, everything on Facebook and social media is NOT private. We are told to be careful what we post on social media and this is a good example of why.
Because the social media vigilante mobs descended on the school district demanding he be fired.

Should've never been fired if you ask me. The only thing this "taught" the community/students is that speech isn't quite free. It would have been one thing if the principle was engaging in behavior/making statements that actually had an adverse impact on the educational process, but that is not what happened here!

Im telling you fair minded citizens are going to turn on these people when they start realizing there is a mccarthy-esque thought policing going on. And when it comes its going to blow the f*ing doors off this nonsense. There are plenty of hispanics and whites who are going to realize they are trying to control what we think. Because hispanics have been just as much victims as whites in this "you cant disagree with us" intimidation campaign. Lots of hispanic cops being targeted, now a hispanic principal. We are not going to put up with this.

I do not know. Since I have not called for anyone to be fired I am wouldn't why those who have have done so. You are happy to hunt him down if you want however.

Exactly. It could have been parents of the students there, for all we know.

You aren't allowed to express an opinion anymore unless you're reporting the news.

As for him being dumb, I don't think that's fair. If he rarely posts comments under articles, or this is the first time he did so, he may not have even realized he was already signed in using his Facebook account, and that sometimes there's a box already checkmarked stating his comment will post to FB. Not everyone lives on social media the way some seem to do.

"These people" are finding out where you live and where you work and are putting that info all over the web telling others what to do.

They got BofA to cave.
The got Miami ISD to cave.

They get bombarded with phone calls, emails, Twitter posts and Facebook posts.
And the organizations are caving in to the mob.

I just read though that they did the same with the Black radio host. And here's one guy that will not be intimated by the mob.
And I need to correct myself. The Black man did not defend the cop. The Black man said he was there and this was not a racially motivated incident.

25 phone calls out of a 6.5 million metro area. Keep going you are entertaining.
