Another big hint: perhaps because those killings are not accompanied by a manifesto written by the murder specifying that their actions were based upon race.

Honoring one's defeated enemies and especially their dead is a long standing practice. We see examples of this in Roman history, where fallen enemies are not reviled nor their cause ridiculed, nor their memories tarnished. Perhaps this is to appease the spirits or to not agitate the descendants into seeking revenge.
Whatever the reason, it is an accepted practice.
To attack them and their memory is considered uncivilized, uncultured, contemptible and / or ignoble.
So now the ones with the flag on them are suddenly going to be worth a lot more money. lol
Seriously though if they're going to go that route it might be time to admit it's time to stop selling the merchandise altogether. There hasn't been a new movie or TV show in years.
The flag represents treason, legal rapes and lynchings, oppression and hatred. The flag was not revered by certain people in the South until the 60s as FY to the civil rights movement. It was flown on government property because the oppressed did not have the power to prevent it. That flag was displayed only due to tyranny of the majority.
You are aware that the Confederate flag was never flown on the mast of a slave ship ? The south never even owned slave ships. Just curious if you know what flag did fly on slave ships, and for over 80 years ?
I'm sensitive to those that feel the flag is an oppressive symbol as well as to those that feel it is part of their history and identity. The thing is, all of the press has caused sales of the flag to rise by 5000% according to what I heard.
The flag gets some level of attention on a semi-regular basis. Now it's getting attention because a racist murderer likes to take pictures of himself with it and the state flies it at full staff after a tragedy.
It's a symbol of treason and racism and should've been relegated to museums in 1865. It's shameful that in 2015 we still have states flying a flag that represents treason against the United States and the ownership of other human beings.
Oh give me a break.
Conservatives exploit every tragedy they think could possibly be construed to give them an advantage. Muslim kills someone? Exploit. Black person shoots someone? Exploit. Heck, we've been hearing non-stop for years about what a war zone Chicago is. Cop gets murdered? Go after the left.
You are aware that the American flag was flown on slave ships, not the Confederate aren't you ? And for over 80 years. Also people in the North owned slaves just as in the south.
As far as exploiting things, both sides are just as guilty. And aren't we seeing the left exploiting this tragedy ? How do you think this whole flag thing came about.
