Bristol Palin makes a very comfortable living preaching an abstinence-only policy. And she is the public face of the (lack of) efficacy of abstinence-only policies. Those policies result in more unplanned pregnancies, which result in more unwanted children.
It is no coincidence that the prevalence of abstinence-only teaching in states largely correlates with higher teen pregnancy rates (not to mention higher STD rates).
She wants to be the face of abstinence-only education. So let her be just that: the twice-knocked up face of what results from teaching only abstinence. Human beings are inclined to have sex, and if you only teach them not to do so and decline to teach them how to do so while taking precautions, you end up with more pregnant and infected people.
I'm just waiting for her to get impregnated by a Black/Hispanic man. I would love to be there when she tells her mom about that.
