No.... my friend,,, the color of your skin means nothing to me,, the content of your character and what you did does... balanced by public safety.. a willingness to see what you did was wrong if it was something minor
If you have an attitude and make my job difficult then the same things will happen.. although I might slow down and give you more attention than I might otherwise.. you might not get a break
Now... dont get me wrong.. I have had people chew on me really hard and made me pray right there to the arrest gods... but in the end usually the same result happened... my prayers do get answered on occasion
My job is to maintain civility and order ... if you treat me with same it will end well for both of us.
I dont expect anything from anyone.. Ive been around too long to have absolutes anymore.. I take each situation as unique... I always start in the same place and same way with everyone.. courteous and polite and escalate as necessary.. rich or poor.. good guy bad guy.. all the same in the beginning (provided it isnt a crime in progress or someone being hurt by someone else)
I was trained and train others... your mouth can get you into a fight quicker than it can get you out...but when it comes time to act.. be resolute... be fair.. be legal.. go home happy,,,and unhurt
If someone says thanks for taking me to jail,,, have I "won"... absolutely
