This guy waved an ISIS flag on UC Berkeley campus and got thumbs up from many passersby!
He then waved an Israeli flag and got cursed at, shouted at, the middle finger etc.
I would like to see him try a Confederate flag. Likely similar results.
How many people HERE in the good ol USA really will recognize the ISIS flag? Give me a break. These people are paid to do what some supervisor tells them to do or they get written up and fired.
I know exactly what it looks like, but that's because I watch the news and read newspapers.
It's not like WalMart has a policy that allows ISIS flag cakes and not Confederate flag cakes. He just happened to be assisted by an employee who didn't know what the ISIS flag looks like. I'm having trouble finding outrage.
Exactly. Wal Mart is run by a bunch of hardcore conservatives; I am pretty sure the company finds the ISIS flag more offensive than the Confederate flag.
Overall, my opinion is that neither flag should ever appear on cakes. Both organizations behind the flag are waging or have waged war on the United States of America.

Looked like 99 percent of passersby ignored him when he had the ISIS flag. "Thumbs up from many passersby"? I saw two people have what could be construed as a positive reaction, though it also looked like they were being sarcastic.
Believe me most Americans, even hardcore liberals such as myself, find ISIS to be an appalling rogue state full of brainwashed idiots.

The contrast was between two incidents:
ISIS - people glanced at it and either calmly ignored it or gave him a thumbs up, shouted "right on!" etc.
Israel - visceral and profane reactions, middle finger, jeers like "F**k Israel" and "apartheid" etc.
Why didn't people at least say something about ISIS. I would have said "You're crazy, man, ISIS is evil!" But if anyone said that, it didn't get captured on camera.
Maybe most Americans dimly realize ISIS is bad, but remember this is UC Berkeley which isn't exactly America, more like an island unto itself of extremism and kookiness.

I also read newspapers but I couldn't tell you what's on the flag. I'm too busy watching the horrific scenes going on - whether it's a tank filled with armed men, or someone about to suffer a beheading - and not paying attention to the flag.
But I'm not one of the smartest people in the room, so it's probably me.
