Will no doubt be one of the biggest news stories of the year if true.

Tom Cruise Might Be Leaving The Church Of Scientology | The Daily Caller

Quote:
“Tom has been under tremendous pressure where Suri and Katie are concerned because the church doesn’t want him close to them. They can’t stand that their own poster boy isn’t raising his child in the church,” the source said. “If they label Suri a suppressive person (a Scientology term for an enemy of the church), as they’ve been known to do with dissenters, that would make it hard for Tom to have a relationship with her. He’s between a rock and a hard place, but he’s finally making a choice to put his daughter first.”
It was a phone call with Suri that helped change Cruise’s perspective

“She was going on and on about her ballet class and how much she loves it. That’s when Tom realized he’s never seen her perform ballet and he started to tear up,” the insider claimed. “It hit him that she’s growing up before his eyes and he’s not there to witness most of it. They talk on the phone and video chat, but it’s not the same.”

Sounds like he's using 'family' as an excuse to get out. LOL. "It's not the same...." I love spin. LOL

Weird that the USA lets this kind of destructive organization exist. an unintended side effect of freedom of religion, I suppose.

IMHO - Scientology is an evil cult that should be as thoroughly destroyed as smallpox.

Tom Cruise is one of the biggest stars in the world.

Scientology is one of the biggest controversies in the world.

Cruise has been one of its biggest supporters. Hence, this is potentially huge in many aspects.

Since when? The number of things that are more controversial in the world is massive, although not as massive as the list of things that have a more direct and/or life altering impact on people's lives. Most of the world has no clue what Scientology even is. This is eye-rolling, derisive snorting news.

Tom Cruise is a has been and has been a has been for a number of years.
He is a terrible actor in my opinion, his public displays are ridiculous and the fact that he has allowed his "Religion" to interfere with the relationship he should have with his child is disgusting.

I am still curious why this is such a big headlining news story.
