Then you do not understand the point of the Darwin awards. Plainly put you need to remove yourself from the gene pool, and since cloning will soon be a reality, that means you have to die to qualify.
Suppose a guy was doing something stupid with power equipment and had his sex organs torn off? He would have removed himself from the gene-pool, right?
Darwin Award winners are not known for being super-smart.
I'm not saying she's dumb. I'm saying I think she may have done it on purpose. It's the only explanation in my opinion. The fight or flight instinct would kick in even for a stupid person, and she had plenty of time to get out if she had wanted to. She also drove around a barrier to get there.

One of the better ones I have seen, the guy lived. He and a buddy were hunting frogs for dinner. On the way home, the headlight fuse blew out. Since it was dark, they needed headlights to continue. They noticed the fuse was about the same size as a .22 round from the rifle they had used to shoot frogs. They put the .22 round in the fuse holder and it worked! They continued on their way.
the fuse blew for a reason. That reason caused current to flow through the .22 round. It eventually went off and the bullet (or possibly pieces of the fuse casing) castrated the driver. They crashed into a tree.
Driver lived, but took himself out of the gene pool so he got the award.
When the police contacted his wife, she was very concerned about the welfare of her husband. She said "Did anyone collect the frogs? How can I get them?"
According to the BBC, a 12-year-old Russian girl, solely identified as Oksana B, fell to her death after taking a picture of herself sitting on the railing of a seventeenth-story balcony. She allegedly sent the photo to a friend right before falling.

A Bend man was impaled in the back by the antlers of an elk he had just shot on Saturday, according to Crook County Sheriff's Office.
Gary Heeter, 69, was hunting in "a very remote location" in the Maury Mountains where he killed an elk. Around noon. as he was dragging the carcass of the animal behind his four-wheeler up a steep hill, the vehicle flipped and he flew back and landed on his dead prey.
Members of the hunting party applied first aid to Heeter to stanch the flow of blood.
"When the deputy arrived at the crash scene," said the sheriff's office, "he found Heeter was conscious and communicative, but appeared to be going into shock."
