Many of those former military still love Bush. I know my husband does, even after multiple tours in Iraq.

Puts a totally different spin on that $100,000 fee, doesn't it?

I'd bet they raised a lot of money by paying Bush to speak. Much more than they paid Bush.

Bush apologist are out in force here. You really have no problem with Bush charging the very people he sent to harms way $100,000 plus $20,000 for a private jet? This is money that could have been used to help those that he used and threw into harms way. Amazes me really.

Speaking fee isn't really the issue here. Heck, even Palin gets it. Not surprising that Bush defenders completely ignored the point.

Change the name to Obama, Hitler etc and it wouldn't changed opinion. If and organization wants to pay another party to do a job I don't give a rats ass

Aw, you know that if you changed the name to Obama, those defending Bush here would be calling him an unpatriotic traitor. And worse.

So take it up with the wounded veteran's group that paid to have him give a speech. They obviously disagree with you. Feel free not to support the Helping a Hero foundation or whatever it is if you don't agree with their politics.
