Bush apologist are out in force here. You really have no problem with Bush charging the very people he sent to harms way $100,000 plus $20,000 for a private jet? This is money that could have been used to help those that he used and threw into harms way. Amazes me really.
I'm really not amazed by it anymore. I'm sure some of the loudest cheers this man would receive are from people who were wounded in a war he started. Once you control someones mind, their body follows, even if it is missing a few pieces.
Clintons: Who was seeking to hire them to speak? The Shiners?

Bush charged 100K to speak at a wounded veterans event. It does not matter if he would have charged $20 bucks! Wounded Vets? Charging Money? This thread is lost on you. Tomatoes and tomato's? No. More like Peppermints and a Bull Mouse!

Hey, I get paid for saving lives. So, I am off duty and not really in the mood to do anything for anyone, well maybe for some compensation, perhaps! But, when I offer to help for a price, some people get rude. Like when I asked them for $500 to do a Heimlich Maneuver. The conversation can take on a nasty tone. Oh well. I get paid to save lives! Fair enough!
Compassion in America is dead and rotting in the street. Its offensive at first, but soon, it is easy to just step over it, just like everyone else does. Cheers

If you look at Charity Navigator and similar sites, this particular charity seems to be experiencing some controversy (nothing to do with Bush). Just mentioning it because I have little patience for charities that use "helping veterans" as their cause, but in reality exist to make their board members rich.
My outrage and others isn't coming from the fact that Bush and many other politicians charge speaking fees. My outrage is about this one specific speech to wounded vets that he still made a profit off of. That, to me, is wrong.
Knowing now that a private individual paid the fee I'm okay with that because my issue isn't about the fee it's about the organization he's charging the fee to.
