So? Chelsea Clinton got $65,000 for a speech in Kansas City. They originally wanted Hillary, but Hillary's price was $275,000.

Isn't that double-dipping? First you make money off sending people to war, then make money off the injured ones who survived?

So we all are okay with politicians getting large speaking fees? From both sides of the aisle?

Whether you are okay with it or not, it happens. Chelsea Clinton isn't even a politician. Not fair to single Bush out when they all do it and charge much more than he is.

OK. I get that former Presidents charge speaking fees. But most of them haven't committed major blunders like Iraq that killed or maimed thousands. Bush should be apologizing for one of the gravest errors in American military history and then give these vets 100 K to ease their transition from healthy young men and women into the world of the wounded and disabled.

Helping a Hero told ABC the $170,000 in total costs were worth it because the Bushes helped the group raise record funds in 2011 and 2012.

“It was great because [Bush] reduced his normal fee of $250,000 down to $100,000,” said Meredith Iler, the charity’s former chairwoman
.
