He could also be a gun trafficker smuggling weapons to cartels south of the border.

Doesn't hurt to look into it.

If he were trafficking guns, he wouldn't have any.

Because if someone collects coins or stamps, they are a collector but if they collect guns they are a nut. You should know that, anyone who collects anything having to do with firearms is a nut, so say the anti-gun nuts.

Anyone else notice how the OP baited everyone and conveniently failed to include the very next but just as significant paragraph in the article? Why is that?

Well, here it is:

"There were no signs of foul play. Police have found no evidence the man, who has not been identified, was involved in criminal activity."

You see how the context changes and the agenda becomes so clearly evident?

Collector = buying guns one at a time over long period of time..
Smuggler = buying and selling guns by good numbers regularly.

I guess in order to say "no evidence" means police verified the guy wasn't too much into selling his guns and was buying them over long period of time...

So, the guy must have been a serious prepper, waiting for SHTF. But to his disappointment, died before that.

Maybe he was a collector only. Not everyone who has a bunch of guns is a prepper.

Guns are totally different than stamps or coins. But I guess it's okay if you buy them and they go up in value and you are able to profit...that's okay.

I can see a guy owning 1200 guns a collector. But a guy owning 1200 guns and 2 tons of ammo??? No, he was a prepper

Those weapons did not help him there were other things he was doing that he should have avoided
