I tend to think we will be very old men, if in our lifetime, by the time we finally know why GB elected to focus on Iraq instead of Al Queda in Afghanistan.
It's a global war on terror. Iraq's history of support for terrorists and it's violation of 19 consecutive UN Security Council resolutions and kicking out WMD inspectors may have had something to do with it. The attack on Iraq was debated for over a year, in public. It's not like the reasons for our intervention there is some cosmic mystery.
If successful means Obama has achieved most of the things he wanted to do while in office, YES he has been a huge success. He has humbled the United States, brought us down almost to Third World status. To quote? "Our friends do not trust us and our enemies no longer fear us". IOW he has been a disgrace.
