W10 is sooo much better though, equivalent to the gap between XP and Win7 imo. This is what Windows 8 should have been. DirectX12 !!! Windows 10 is a must now for any gaming PC. Can't wait for the new gen DirectX 12 games now.

In regards to a Mac, there is a lot less "junk" out there to quickly download and screw up your system.

PC's get screwed up easier, but Mac's are harder to fix when they get screwed up. (Well, back when I had a couple of Macs in the Cheetah, Puma, Jaguar days.)

I've never loaded any junk on my computers and have had problems with each one. Two macs, no problems. Actually, five macs if I include family members I bought macs for.

People probably find PC's easier to fix because they get so much practice.

It's supposed to "launch" hopefully to oblivian on the 29th. I've been uninstalling their annoying get windows malware.

This is why I'm waiting a little while before upgrading to Win 10. There's just no way that this is going to be a smooth launch tomorrow. I don't care how many betas, release candidates, etc that Microsoft does.

Maybe I'll upgrade late this year or early next year, while it's still free to do so.

Had the same problem with WIndows 8. PC always locking up due to update errors. Only solution was to turn off automatic updates. Until this is put into windows 10, I will not get it.

A wise decision.

I will update my new laptop early on, but will wait for my desk top until I see how things are going, and whether or not there may actually be updates to the update.

On a side note, those of you who blame windows for everything -- sometimes it may be your computer manufacturers fault.

Oh, not to worry, I blame them, too! Dells, HPs, Gateway (before HP bought them out), Acer and Asus. No games on any of them. Problems with all, particularly the first three in the list.

There's a reason people say, 'Once you go Mac, you never go back.'
