Users were afraid of this and it has come to pass. New Windows 10 updates cannot be turned off, and users are reporting computer failures because of it.

Thanks for the heads up. It might be a good idea to save important documents on a thumb drive if, on the 25th, they stated Microsoft was going to roll out the update "in a few days".

It's frustrating dealing with problems on a windows platform. I've never had any issues with my mac.

I've had issues on every platform, including Mac.

The main reason why PC's have so many more problems is the amount of "junk" out there that people load on their computers. I liken it to a person who goes out and buys a car and then throws every aftermarket piece of equipment on the engine. In regards to a Mac, there is a lot less "junk" out there to quickly download and screw up your system.

PC's get screwed up easier, but Mac's are harder to fix when they get screwed up. (Well, back when I had a couple of Macs in the Cheetah, Puma, Jaguar days.)

Enter Safe mode, that's what it's for when you have Driver or software problems preventing you from signing on. Been there for over a decade.

This is why I keep a cheap Chromebook as a back-up. Boots in 8 seconds & can't get a virus.

Ah yes, a complainer complaining about how they make their living. Go do something else.

I knew there was a reason I was refusing to tap the "Get Windows 10" icon on my menu bar.

Any sufficiently complex system assures failures. There is a lot of experience in the old adage to "Keep it simple Stupid!"

Aside from the internet and the weather maps most of the stuff I do on my PC could be done on the Commodore 64 I used so many decades ago.

From what I read, one driver for one video card is faulty when you are using 2 monitors.
