Surely looking at the feet would have given him a clue - bear paws/claws vs dog paws? Then, how about the sound a bear makes vs. a dog barking or whimpering, or howling? How about the volume of food it would take to satisfy a bear vs. a dog, or just watching them walk or run? The gait is totally different. Did he never take it to the vet for shots or illness of any kind? How can anybody be that clueless for 2 years?
This is more what I was thinking.
Besides, bears are omnivores and eat mostly fruits, whereas dogs are fully carnivorous. I highly doubt he was able to healthily raise bear cubs for two years with nothing but dog food and meat.
Can't remember the last time Polar Bears ate fruits and vegetables.
Dogs on the other hand, do eat vegetables and fruits.
I've known many dogs that like veggies, especially carrots.
my dog eats carrots and apples.. but come on.. you cant think a bear is a dog for that length of time..
