I can see that making sense. The tour guides were responsible for luring the animal from it protected area, and the dentist was responsible for violating regulations using the crossbow. Different offenses by different people during the same incident.
That's all Zimbabwe has. They can't prove any of the other accusations.
O please! Of course I was deliberately exaggerating. But not being nearly so out of proportion as some of the lynch mob. It went over the top for me when the guys family got drug into the hang em' high rhetoric. Villifying his family , over a lions death, is just wrong. This is just a lion, not worth destroying an entire, human family over. His family didn't do anything, and , to me, their worth more than the cat.
I'm not defending this "hunt," or the dentist, but the cat is not worth destroying his family over, in addition to him. They will have a rough enough time, without any help from the nut case, animal rights mob.
So let's destroy his and those of his employees, over a lion who was setup to be killed by Zimbabwe.
Aren't you the same one who complains about how criminal are treated? Oh yeah, lets not confuse killing an animal with killing other people. I mean, one is a lion and the other, well, those are just humans and the murderer was just acting out their neglected childhood and the abuse of society because they aren't a 1%er.
Looks like they are a perfect match. There's no way she could live with a spouse who dedicated so much of his life to killing unless she was ok with it. Probably the kids have become numb to the fact that the animals heads displayed in the home were killed for nothing more than bragging rights for their father.
I see absolutely nothing wrong with public outcry over this situation. People who commit heinous acts should face consequences in the public forum, as well as legal ramifications. Disgusting acts like what Dr. Palmer committed shouldn't be swept under the rug and paid off with the aid of an expensive attorney. Society as a whole has every right to judge another's actions, and I think it is wonderful that this is getting so much press. Hopefully it will lead to an end of trophy hunting and importing body parts into this country.
At the very least, it will prevent unwitting patients from providing money to fund the Dr's killing sprees.
Zimbabwe does give out bow and arrow hunting permits.
Palmer said he paid for and had a permit, a bow hunting permit.
Now isn't that interesting....
News from The Associated Press
Zimbabwe has suspended the hunting of lions, leopards and elephants in an area where a lion popular with tourists was killed, and is investigating the killing of another lion in April that may have been illegal, the country's wildlife authority said Saturday.
In addition, bow and arrow hunts have been suspended unless they are approved by the head of the director of the Zimbabwe Parks and Wildlife Management Authority, the organization said.
That is still not POACHING. Zimbabwe said they want him because he used a bow and arrow and that's illegal.
No one can prove he specifically went after "Cecil".
Learn the difference.
Fact is, you have no idea what they will charge him with, do you? Yes, they can prove he wnet after Cecil if the Guides turn on him for a lighter sentence, which you know some one will do, sooner or later. Live with it. Poacher. Poacher. Get used to that word. Poacher....
That's all Zimbabwe has. They can't prove any of the other accusations.
You don't have a clue, same as anyone else, what they can or can not prove. A guide can make a deal at the drop of a hat, and testify against him for a whole list of criminal activity. Get used to it.
