Nonsense. You mean ILLEGAL drug trade right? Somehow you forgot the difference between legal and illegal. Convenient.

That is not in the liberal vocabulary. There is nothing "wrong" or "unethical" with, or about hunting. It is a sport / activity that is as old as man itself, that is enjoyed by millions of people around the world. It is not "immoral", regardless of how much you want to try and make it so. Nor is it "dicey", (whatever that means)? If you simply don't like it, then say that and move on. But that's impossible for liberals like yourself to do. You feel you need to put a stop to anything you don't like, while at the same time ramming everything you do, down everyone else's throat.

It's no different with guns. If you, (liberals), don't like guns, or want to own guns, or wish to carry a gun, that's fine. No one is forcing you to. But people like yourself can't stop at that. Instead you want to strip everyone else's rights away, and force them to give up their freedoms, in order to live under your idealistic umbrella. That is not how life in a free society works. Or hunting in Zimbabwe, or anywhere else for that matter.
Again … patiently … not for the first time …

(Please try to pay attention this time …)

I am a gun owner …

I am a former hunter who has no objection to responsible hunting …

I am not a "Liberal" on every issue, but am markedly "Conservative" on some issues …

I recognize that not everything that is "legal" is therefore "moral" or "ethical" ...

Hunting IS LEGAL. It is also NOT immoral, or unethical.

You're problem is, like most liberals, you want to regulate what people do based on what you think they should do. The world doesn't revolve around what your version of morality is, or what you happen to think is "dicey".
Same attitude towards weed, prostitution etc?

That's illegal, HUNTING IS NOT. How many times does it take for you liberals to allow that to soak in? You are so against a legal activity you don't like, your only defense is to compare it to something illegal. That makes for a pretty pathetic argument.

You couldn't agree because Christians are not trying to dismantle my gun rights, or ban hunting. Liberals are.

No …

I think that the "pathetic argument" being advanced is that anything and everything that is (technically) "legal" is and should be morally ethically socially acceptable ...

No. You didn't just mention hunting and gun rights, you wrote liberals are trying to regulate what people do based on what they think they should do. The same goes for christians and other belief systems and political parties. That's just the way it is, if one group thinks something is wrong/immoral, they will try to have it stopped/made illegal, or stop it from becoming legal. Whether it's hunting or abortions or gay marriage. There is a definite anti-trophy hunting movement, but if it will result in changed laws is anyone's guess. It certainly has not resulted in changed attitudes among those who trophy hunt.
