We have entered into new era in defining family and, as we all know, sometimes happily ever after turns out to be significantly short of the happy or the ever after. So now we have a whole new set of problems associated with custody of children. Instead of deciding between two adults, now there are three or four to fight over the child.

This week a custody fight began in one of those four parent situations. I don't see how a child living in four different homes could be anything but confusing. Assuming all parents are competent, what would be in the best interest of the child? Should they give primary custody to one parent with visitation to all others, or joint custody to four, or what?

New York’s craziest custody case: Four parents, one child | New York Post

I really don't get the purpose of the identical apartments.

Because our society is quickly degrading to the point were are destroying the next generation. These were not good people in any sense. They were egotistical morons who have no business with children let alone trying to raise them. Look what these self absorbed people have done. It should be criminal. They experimented with a human being. They are an experiment themselves. The child should be taken away and it's identity hidden so that none of those fools ever see that child again.

Can't they just do the King Solomon thing and offer to cut up the kid in four pieces? See what happens?

It's absolutely bizarre. I see forms at school where all he kids have different last names and both parents have different last names. How the hell do you know who is related to who ?

The new world order where children are picked from a test tube, parents are that because they declare themselves so regardless of qualifications and there is no such thing as offspring, they are selections.

The child only has 2 parents, a male and a female, the other 2 people are just the parents significant other. The male parent was simply the sperm donor, maybe he should get some visitation time, custody of the child should go to the biological mother, the other 2 people can go pound sand. Case closed

Really? Having the same last name is the only way you can identify your children?

You might need new glasses.

Actually it just shows you how many different "fathers" are in that family.

Maybe if you have such prejudiced notions about family you shouldn't be working in a school.
