if I were a kid -- and just had an idea bad or poor or whatever --but my idea got all this backlash from people-- forget nationalities or ethnicity-- I'd HATE them-
This kid is eating up the attention. His family is milking it for every freebie they can get.
What the kid proved was that someone could build a major component for a bomb, make it look like a bomb and then create angst that no one will ever again question his motives.
Now all we need do it wait until the next kid makes the whole bomb and sets it off. Then everyone will ask how such a thing could happen and why the teachers and police didn't prevent it.

The kid lied and said that he made a clock from scratch. Then he was determined to flaunt it to everybody he came across when at school. To make matters worse, he brought it in a metal case. He knew darn well that it looked like a bomb component. Also, it was proved that he was NOT technical savvy.
Go with his own kind? That's why he went to Sudan and met with a terrorist? I guess that you are saying that "his own kind" are terrorists.
