Sorry, but Kid's make mistakes and Adult's act irresponsible...HUGE difference IMO

Mistakes is something one should learn from and never repeat or at least try not to repeat!

Irresponsibility is something that must have consequences and it should demand accountability and justice! Losing a child due to irresponsibility is the outcome of that irresponsible action..At the very least some level of manslaughter...but then again the Judicial system doesn't always hold adults accountable to that level unless the adult actually did the killing themselves!

As to onto of Fridge should have been safe~~ Nope, my two boys were constantly caught up on kitchen counters looking thru the cupboards for treats..and fridge top is very much in view!!

This father actually enabled his children to be allowed the access to the murder weapon...But what truly bothers me..this man, past gang member bought gun from some other gang member ( legally or illegally?) and knows full well what that gun is capable of doing!!

So this was a gang family. Guns must have been around the kids since day 1.

Well I've seen a lot of refrigerators with cereal, crackers, cookies etc, sitting on top of the fridge. 6yo kids stand on chairs to get things all the time. That is not an appropriate place to store a loaded gun!
