Sure is one ugly side the Americans. This is a KID, not an adult. Geez, we certainly have gotten aggressive towards others. I know religion is done in the US as is clear by how people treat each other, but we could show a little compassion for at least kids. Wow.
Agree wholeheartedly. The vitriol expressed towards a child on this thread and the other about him are disheartening. This is no way to treat people in a healthy society. These are the same people who supported both Bush Sr and Junior when they invaded Iraq. Iraq's invasion of Kuwait had to be stopped for the sake of oil and the second invasion was to find the WMD's. Both of which were a farce. Now the country is in disarray, there is no government and thugs like ISIS, Al Queda and all other militants and taking it over. There is no hope for that country and the world just hates us more every day. Nice going Murica!

This family has sooooo played Obama and our country. I own a house in the MacArthur HS attendance zone. Some members of the Muslim community have tried to incite public attention toward the City of Irving regarding its rejection of their interest in administering their own practices of dealing with crimes outside of the USA legal system. This same family already had an older sister caught calling in a bomb threat to the same high school..
MacArthur High School is an extremely diverse school (25% White) well represented by the Muslim commumity. Irving is a Dallas burb city of almost 300,000 residents. It is a very odd city in that it is clearly divided geographically by certain highways. Highway 183 divides North and South Irving. South Irving is "old Irving" which is generally the conservative area and serviced by 2 high schools that are both 90% minority. South Irving is generally modest housing below $200K value.
North of highway 183 is "North Irving & Las Colinas" and this area -- up to hwy 635 (except for one little burg) -- is serviced by MacArthur HS. Las Colinas is home to many Fortune employers, 2 major golf courses, several gated communities with expensive homes where their executives live. Also are a number of modest homes. And, MacArthur HS as well as the magnet HS are in this area. The powerful people of Irving live in this area. This is where the Almed's countdown clock surfaced -- at MacArthur HS.
Even farther north, north of HWY 635, is the Irving section known as "Valley Ranch", called so because this is the place the Dallas Cowboys used to have their practice facility. It is the area best known for young professionals, young families, heavily Indian .... sometimes this area is coined as "Bally Ranch." This area is serviced by other school districts than irving ISD. So, of course, MacArthur was the logical target.
His father is a huge fraud. He claims to have "hundreds of followers here and in Libya and Egypt." His VERY OWN Imam in the U.S. said he's never heard of him, that he is making things up. Now, let's look at the clock - the kid didn't build ANYTHING. He broke open an alarm clock. He took the guts and popped them in a briefcase. WHY? To make a SCENE, that's why. There was NO SCHOOL ASSIGNMENT to build clocks that resemble suitcase bombs. He did this for SHOCK value in the hopes of gaining notoriety, just like his lying father does, with lawsuits against the American taxpayers.
Yes, what happened to this kid was unfortunate. But, because "radical" Muslims have repeatedly used children to blow up those that they want to attack, it is not at all "stupid" to at least investigate a situation like this.
The boy involved was very publicly cleared. He was invited to the White House by our President. If ever a person were to be publicly exonerated, it is this boy.
So, the move to Qatar is not a response to "discrimination."
