We don't need more gun control laws, just enforce the ones we've got.
There's nothing wrong with guns per se. We just need to work on getting people to be sure to follow safe storage and handling practices and keep them out of the hands of loonies, hotheads, idiots, bad guys and the like.

That would be common sense. Some call for common sense laws, but completely overlook the obvious.
There are plenty of laws covering gun ownership, state and federal. I don't think additional legislation or regulation will help. If guns were to suddenly disappear altogether, then non law abiding people would use the next best lethal item available
We can agree on this...

I'm saying enforce the damn current laws, I provided a pretty reputable link to show that people just don't give a damn....

The problem with that is that if an individual had a legit collection of firearms, the media would portray it as an arsenal if they were to face any sort of legal action for something.
The collection of antique firearms will sit in a safe for years and years and never even fire a shot...but the police and media will post pictures of it on FB and declare "another arsenal taken off the streets"
As if gang-bangers are touting mosin-nagants around on their drive-bys. It's just funny that when any gun is seized it's "taken off the streets".
I have waaaay fewer guns than the felonious subject of the story and mine tend to also be predominately shotguns.
One of my former colleagues happened to visit and looked in the gun case and the next day at school was telling anyone who would listen about my "arsenal" and questioning why I needed "so many".
Of course, his having grown up in PA he was a deer hunter and made it clear he only had one.
I am so glad I retired and don't have to listen to his millennial crap and deal with his angst any longer.
Yep. That's why he was arrested. Along with suspicion of receiving stolen goods.
Glad you agree that guns are not the problem, Yep...
