The two mamas are acting all innocent and victimized right now, but I'm not buying their phony act.
I support having a one-child limit per customer, per store. A special permit should be needed for two children, gained only by meeting with each store manager in advance. More than three is an absolute no-no. Hire a babysitter or make a pact with a friend or family member. Be responsible rather than demand more tolerance from the rest of us,,,including store clerks.
I have seen kids in stores absolutely running crazy and the parents act like they don't even know who they are. Walking along, talking to each other, oblivious to the misbehaving kids, and other shoppers are furious. They. don't. care.
I hope the clerk doesn't get dealt with too badly. These two mothers need to be charged with criminal mischief for allowing their kids to trash the store and disrupt other shoppers.
The poor store clerk was obviously having a menopause moment but, this is the reason you wait to go shopping until your husband get's off work, or your kids are in school if there's no husband. Too bad the clerk didn't film the kids activity first. Then we could have had a youtube battle! lol

No, parents should teach their kids to behave even if it takes, as racist Thomas J said, a belt.
That behavior is not the norm, in my neck of the woods anyway. I often see women with 4, 5, 6 children in tow who behave better than many teens or adults I see about.
The Mennonites, now they know how its done. They could make a fortune teaching people how to raise their children correctly.
Sorry, but I'm thinking the dollar store clerk doesn't get paid enough to make all nicey-nice with disruptive customers. I always get treated like gold by those folks because I am polite and say please and thank you. They've got a job that ranges from boring to soul-crushing - I'm not gonna make it worse for them.
You want high-class treatment while acting like a boor, go to some place like Nordstrom's. They're paid to be nice to jackholes there.
