I've heart that, I've also heard that it was an invitation to society to kiss my butt.

That started in prison. Inmates would sag to broadcast their butts to the other inmates. Now some kids think it's cool to sag. It's not and they look stupid.

Lest some people develop the notion that it's some former Confederate Colonel who's running the town, along with the Daughters of the Confederacy, here's the CURRENT MAYOR of Laurel: http://www.tylercookmedia.com/images...ithout-bar.png

And if there's anything going on, regarding Civil War statues, it's about them being taken down, along with all the streets being renamed.

Oh, and here's the Laurel City Council: https://mgtvwhlt.files.wordpress.com...cil.jpg?w=1200 Honestly, I'm surprised to see TWO WHITE MEN. I believe that Jackson (the Capital) has ONE white person on the City Council. Jackson's Black leaders, by the way, were agitating for a "no sagging law", but the city's few remaining whites were against the law, for the very reasons being cited in this thread.

Anyway, it's pretty common knowledge that 'sagging' is a way of 'presenting' - basically advertising that one's boohiney is available - if you're man enough to take it. We've all heard about that "on the down-low" thing...

Oh, and speaking of Jacktown - and sagging, here's a wonderful moment, captured by a well-placed camera: http://www.wapt.com/image/view/-/364...-on-camera.jpg That big navy-blue patch is "his drawers". He's got his sweats saggin' all the way down to his hamstrings, and yet he's somehow able to slither in and OUT of the truck's window, without us seeing the junk in his trunk. Here's the video. Be sure to watch this in fullscreen. How does he keep his pants positioned? VELCRO? : Crook breaks window and steals purse in Fondren | Jackson News - WAPT Home

I hope this goes for plumbers and old men too. Most of the butt crack I see comes from the over-50 crowd.

As for the kids, that fad is losing its steam--at least in those parts of the country where it's 2015

If that's Laurel Mississippi's biggest problem, they have it made. Remember this: News, Teen: Baggy Pants Saved Me From Gator.

It does look totally stupid in my opinion, but, I'm sure some people think me in sky high heels are stupid. Just look the other way.....seriously.

And then we also need signs outlawing tattoos. I don't like tattoos but people have a right to display body art.

I would imagine it is, especially for those who wear their belt below the butt when involved in any illegal activity and try to run away from law enforcement. I've watched more than one episode of Cops where the suspect tried to escape capture and was tripped up by his own low-rider pants. It may be cool to their peers, but it isn't very conducive for a fast getaway.
