The problem is it doesn't take much twisting. Millions are doing it with no problem at all. The underlying premises and philosophy convert easily to what they have become.

there has been coverage of this yesterday and today but yeah that's sad, things like that happen so often in those places that it's like it's not important anymore if 30 more people die.

Lol typical liberal who brings up the horrific stuff Christians did a thousand years ago. Yeah, because that's so relevant today. You people are a joke.

Actually, there was a leaked intel report yesterday describing a meeting between Abu Sayef, ISIS and MILF that occurred last Sunday. The three groups decided to cooperate with each other and target the conference that Obama is currently at in Malaysia.

In that report, MILF was identified as the Moro National Liberation Front. Don't know if it was a typo or they changed their name.

In response to hundreds of years of terrorism. Again.

This gorp is not Isis, apparently. They are an Al Qaeda group from north Africa.

This is why I don't think bombing any one area is the answer...some of the Paris bombers were born in Belgium, this group is from Africa, they are all over the world not centralized anywhere.

This is a different war, and the biggest difference to me is the way they are recruiting, through social media. Many of the people involved recently have been otherwise unremarkable, they did well in school, they were assimilated into the culture of the country they were living in...the one girl in the Paris bombings didn't follow any of the rules of Islam before this incident, she was a drinker and party girl...yet they got her to do this without her ever leaving Paris...HOW? That is what we need to be looking at, figuring out how to fight them on social media, figuring out what exactly they are doing to brainwash and manipulate these young people.

Not saying we also shouldn't defend ourselves and fight terror at it's roots too, but I don't think any amount of bombs is going to help long term (how many have we already dropped over the last 14 years?) and it requires a long range plan that fights on various fronts, not just one. This is one war we can't win just by playing tough guy, JMO.

It was sort of like The Provisional IRA and the IRA in Northern Ireland they both still exist. As the more moderate Moro National Liberation Front was coming into agreements with Manila the more radical MI(slamic)LF emerged. With MILF talking peace with the Macapagal-Arroyo and Aquino administrations the more radical Bangsmoro Islamic Freedom Front emerged. Last year when the Philippines National Police Special Action Force, sort of a gendarmerie arm of the police was trying to capture a Malaysian bomb maker Zulkifi Abdhir the Philippines suffered one of the biggest losses in the war when 44 officers were killed by nearby MILF and BIFF forces.
