What a scary thought, our youth joining up with these guys. I can't imagine their horror and shock when they got there. Some decisions cannot be reversed. I hope now they at least serve as an example for those thinking to join.
Anthropologist Scott Atran studies these kids. I don't agree with everything Scott has concluded, but his description of these immature kids matches my research findings: they are not religious - most can't cite a single quotation from the Qu'ran. They're just violent, immature kids drunk on power and violence. All of them (boys and girls alike) have very unreasonable expectations - as though the world revolves around them.
This morning I read an account by a Frenchman named Hermot (sp?) who was held by Jihahdi John for 10 months in Syria. He says 'we have a saying for people like this in France: Stupid and evil.'

At least the ISIS husbands that these girls got married to, don't have to deal with going through an expensive divorce and custody battle for the kids and/or pay alimony or child support.
In Western countries, the effects of going through a custody battle and financial expenses related to a divorce can be just as primitive, barbaric and horrific on the lives of the men involved.
ISIS might be trying to make a statement against all of that.
It wasn't Jean Claude and Pierre who were behind the Paris bombings, just because someone resides in a certain country doesn't mean they're from that country or have any loyalty to it.
